Finally A Trend I Like- Gas Prices Fall For 8th Straight Day

Nationwide, Alaska and Hawaii remained the two states with gas prices still tracking above $4 a gallon. The cheapest gas was now found in New Jersey, where prices averaged $3.431 a gallon. Gas has fallen about 46 cents from the record high average of $4.114 that AAA reported on July 17, but they are still 83 cents above this time last year.

The U.S. job market deteriorated in Aug., said the Conference Board, which expects the struggles to continue well into '09. The research group's Employment Trends Index fell to 110.8 last month from July's revised 111.4. That follows last week's employment report that showed the U.S. shedding jobs for an 8th straight month and the jobless rate jumping to a 5-year high of 6.1%.

This appears to be one of many ways that the government is attempting to stifle free speech, and it's being accomplished behind-the-scenes with few if any people becoming aware
