Stocks opened little changed on Monday as news of a proposed $23 billion takeover of chewing gum maker Wm Wrigley Jr Co offset worries about record oil prices and concerns about the economy.

A lot has happened in the past few days and I’ve been wanting to write about it but haven’t had the time. I’ll cover a few news items here and hopefully offer up some interesting insight. Oregon School Decries 'Gang Sign' Eyebrow Grooming

Several students at Centennial High School have picked up on a trend to shave lines into their eyebrows, saying it's a fashion statement; school administrators contend it's a gang sign. If the innocent does not like being all grouped together maybe it is time to stand against the gangs instead of allowing the politicians to look the other way.
